Primavera leads research at the crossroads of law, blockchain, and artificial intelligence.
She is Head of Research at Alien, Research Director at the French National Center of Scientific Research (CNRS) in Paris, and Faculty Associate at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society.
She holds a PhD in Law from the European University Institute.
Her research explores the legal challenges and opportunities of blockchain and AI. She is the co-author of “Blockchain and the Law” (Harvard University Press, 2018) and “Blockchain Governance” (MIT Press, 2024). A founding member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Blockchain Technologies, she also founded and coordinates the U.N. Internet Governance Forum’s COALA (Coalition on Law and Blockchain Technology).
