Emmanuel Perrotin

CEO of Perrotin

Founder of Perrotin gallery, representing world-renowned contemporary artists

Emmanuel Perrotin is a French gallerist and founder of Perrotin, one of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries. He opened his first gallery in 1990 at the age of 21 in his Paris apartment, and was among the first to champion artists who would become global icons, including Takashi Murakami, Maurizio Cattelan, Damien Hirst, JR, and Kaws. Known for his eclecticism and entrepreneurial spirit, Perrotin expanded his network across four continents with spaces in Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Los Angeles, London, and Dubai. Often called the “French Gagosian,” he has built a reputation for making contemporary art more accessible while nurturing long-term relationships with artists, some spanning over 30 years.
